RADAR in the Recording Studio
RADAR’s all about taking technology out of your way so that you can be creative and spontaneous. Use RADAR and its Session Controller / Meterbridge for amazing sound and a refreshingly simple approach to studio workflow. Here’s how:
- INTEGRATING RADAR WITH YOUR STUDIO is fast and easy. Patch RADAR alongside an analogue or digital mixing console for optimum control, or use it as the front-end o an audio workstation.
- MIXING WITH RADAR can tie mixes to the multi-track. Do a stereo mix-down of tracks played out of RADAR, sending the mix back into RADAR for simultaneous recording. Plus, using RADAR as the mix destination preserves the audio's fidelity straight through to the end.
- EDITING WITH RADAR. Editing doesn't have to happen on a computer screen. RADAR's dedicated Session Controller can scrub audio with a jog wheel instead of a mouse, add locates and markers on the fly, cut and paste audio regions, and run user-programmable macros - all with 99 levels of undo.
- FILE MANAGEMENT WITH RADAR isn't based on the mouse. Use the file naming presets to automatically name all tracks, takes, punches, crossfades and files. Single-button operations name projects & tracks and also create project clones
- FILE TRANSFERS WITH RADAR.
- RADAR's native BWAV files will take audio anywhere. Pull one of the removable hard drives and plug itt into a workstation's external drive carrier. Or just copy/transfer files using DVD-R, CDR, Blu-ray, a network, or an external drive (eSATA, Firewire, USB, SCSI).
- Play audio real-time out of RADAR and into your DAW interface using TDIF, AES, ADAT, SPDIF, or MADI.
